I've been fired, but it wasn't ever that disappointing. Mainly with short summer jobs when I was a student. One boss of mine at a restaurant would go out the back to get cokes etc and he'd peek at customers using the loo, through a hole in the wall. He was just a dumbfuck. The restaurant had a Beaches theme, and he'd play the Beaches soundtrack, "Did you ever know that you're my heeeero..."

Ahem. I hate admitting this since it makes me sound terribly sensible and almost 40-ish, but it looks like this year's refund might go to put up new gutters for the house. :? But we still treat ourselves to fun things anyhow - it just won't be with the tax refund this year.

What are you avoiding right now by spending time on the board again?

well, there's the scar on my upper lip from where it got rolled up in the car window (I was POUTING). And the one that starts between my boobs and runs down and to my left ending on the hip bone from where I fell off a houseboat. And the one on my left eyebrow where I ran into a clothesline pole. And the scars from my children. Well, they're all across my heart. 8)

what's worse, sports bra uniboob or cro-magnon unibrow?

A uni-brow is always a no . . . almost always anyway.

Have you ever had a recurring dream and if so, what was it?

A recurring theme. I've killed someone or sometimes a few people and I'm getting away with it - racked with guilt and on the verge of being caught. I never actually do the killing in the dream - but I know where the body is. It's never anyone I know whom I've killed.

When was the last time you were asked by management to leave an establishment?

All the way back in 95 or so, the manager of O'Flaherty's Pub on Toulouse St. in New Orleans asked my brother and I to leave. My drunk brother was castigating a couple of guys on their lack of skill at darts. I was mortified and only recently went back.

Do you gamble, and if so are you superstitious about it?

I gamble but have no superstions related to it. I do see people (mostly the elderly spending their social checks) at slot machines with trinkets and good luck stuff and they either blow on the machines or massage them etc. It is really sad.

Yellowcard. You may have heard their new single "Ocean Avenue". They try to incorporate a violin part in each of their tracks to sound "original" - when in reality they are pop punk garbage.

You can't just hang out near the goalie waiting for the ball, one defender at least must be in front.

How can England lose to Australia 3-1 (pretty pathetic for a proud soccer loving nation)?

Dumb luck? Karma?

For reasons I could but will not blame on my husband, I am without my son today, which is Mother's Day. I have no car and no money, and perhaps most tragically for a beautiful day alone, no marijuana. What should I do with my day (besides decadently surfing the 'net in bed for an hour before even getting up...)?

Sorry to hear your son isn't with you today Mugsy...that is the pits.

Suggestion as to what to do today?

Make little towers out of playing cards....always a fave of mine when I'm stressed or depressed. It's so infuriating that you forget almost everything else. A draughty room is always preferable.

I didn't know that Mother's Day is a different date in the States..
