There she is.

And yes, you need a microphone to use it. But a cheap computer microphone is good enough...

People who have picked their songs should start toying around with them. But I'm still accepting more sign-ups.

I'd like to start recieving recordings by mid-July.

This is really great.... I'd sure like to help in any way I can, but all I play is the classical oboe, bongos and the cd player.

Still..... if you have leg work to do, call on me, I'll be there :)

Blue, sign me up for 'Big Sister's Clothes'- I actually recorded an acoustic only version 4 or5 years ago, but it'll be new to y'all. Should I just send it to you as an mp3 or what?

That's a great idea!! When I get done with the graphics, will e-mail the various jpegs to blue, for the copy being sent to "The Man". But I'm STILL waiting for someone to come up w/ a tentative title for the thing...

Well its a tribute to the man from his fans so I guess you could call it 'We salute you' by Elvis's Army :!:

Okay, folks...here's the deal:

So far, we have ONE entry for song title:

"We Salute You", courtesy of Gillibeanz. She suggests that we credit under the collective name of 'Elvis' Army'.

Suggestions? And then, maybe a poll?

And as individual artists, how do you want to be credited? For instance: Would noiseradio preferred to be "noiseradio" or "Oliver's Army?"
You can use my regular e-mail link if you like, or PM...

Cover Art is almost ready to post, will be working on other portions of the CD Package & will start a "Photo Album" Thread for your perusal/commentary/critique.

A group effort, if you will...

And many thanks to those who sent me jpegs/photo links. Things are going quite nicely!

For my part, it depends on what recording I end up sending. If it's with the band (what i want to do), then I'd like us to be credited accordingly. If it's just me, I'll figure something out later.

I'll try to think of a title suggestion.

Thanks, Noise...I just want to make sure that EVERYBODY gets some sort of credit for their participation. In fact, I think I've come up with a plan where every registered member will get a mention...

Finally got the site up for display & commentary (see another "sticky" thread)...please take time to view what we have so far.

Thanks again, everybody?

I'm the last person who should say anything having contributed absolutely nothing to your project. But here's my two cents anyway.
Well its a tribute to the man from his fans so I guess you could call it 'We salute you' by Elvis's Army
I like that, Gilli!
I think that the tribute thing needs to be worked in there somewhere because that's what it is. I also like the Elvis's Army....but I have no idea how all of you contributors want to be acknowledged. So that parts up to you guys and gals.
I don't have a phrase in mind but maybe something like "Blankety blank blank - A Tribute To The Man and His Music"
or "Blah, blah, blah - A Salute To Elvis Costello "
"Blah, blah, blah - A Salute To Elvis Costello and His Music" or how about something like "Elvis's Army - A Tribute To Elvis Costello and His Music" or "Elvis's Army - We Salute You" (I kinda like that one)

I'm just thinking out loud. I'll go back to my corner now..... :)
I'm not angry anymore....

Looking at your cover art, Sulky, made me think of the photo thread on this site where people posted pix of themselves. Could that possibly fit in somewhere, maybe along the lines of what you did on the cover w/the EC pix? But on the inside cover (if there'll be one cuz I don't know what your layout and design is including.....a slip, front and back like an album cover or a plastic cd case with a front, back and an inside.
Like a montage of our pics inside or where ever, that would be the crediting of Elvis's Army.

There seemed to be a fine lot of beautiful people who posted their pix and could be put to good use.

Weird or not? Whadya tinkin?

Damn...this is awesome!!! I wish I had musical talent, I'd love to do Boy With A Problem but the only way I can come close is with a Tom Waits like rasp...maybe in another life... :)
A lot of Christians wear crosses around their necks. Do you think when Jesus comes back he ever wants to see a fuckin' cross? It's kind of like going up to Jackie Onassis with a rifle pendant on.
