Music Reviewers Not Clear on the Concept - Warfield SF

"made fans endure unknown songs for an hour before dusting off classics"
??
endure???

"best is Peace Love and Understading" ??? that was Nick Lowe's tune!

"would have made a much stronger impact if it were 30 minutes shorter" ??

I hate it when they say that!

I may be speaking out of turn, but I think it is safe to say that after 25 years(and change) "What's so Funny About Peace, Love, And Understanding" is an Elvis tune.

This is a very uncharacteristic review from Harrington. I mean, he did such a niece piece on Avril Levigne last week.

I have to disagree. It's like with Jimi Hendrix and "All Along the Watchtower". It is the definitive version, yes, but it is still Bob Dylan's song. Same with PLU - EC will forever be linked to it, but give credit where credit is due - to the writer.

Lyrically, it is Nick Lowe's. But did he write the music that the Attractions are playing during it, too?

I think that is very important.
