Rolling Stone magazine is on crack again!

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

5. Tori Amos
6. Phish (?!?!?!)
7. Metallica (!??!?!)
8. PJ Harvey
9. Nine Inch Nails (?!?!?)
10. Guns 'n' Roses (?!?!?!)
11. Bruce Springsteen & The E-Street Band (finally!)
12. Pearl Jam
13. Bob Dylan (ooh yeah!)
14. Tool (?!!??!)
15. Prince
16. Widespread Panic (oook)
17. The Roots (ooook)
18. Red Hot Chili Peppers (even though their singer can't sing live?)

Hey, even EC had uncomplimentary things to say about The Rolling Stones live... :D

Also, this is what happens when the people have a voice...sorry, that sounded a bit fascist.
A lot of Christians wear crosses around their necks. Do you think when Jesus comes back he ever wants to see a fuckin' cross? It's kind of like going up to Jackie Onassis with a rifle pendant on.

DEMOCRACY, in a VERY large group, does NOT work.

Lists are nearly always wank...unless they are on this mesage board of course.

They are always loaded with current bands. The Q ones always make me laugh. Top 100 albums of all time......Be Here Now and Heathen Chemistry anyone ?

Yeah, but a gnarly cover and article on Clay from American Idol. Did you know he has never used the "f" word - oh he's thought the word, but he's never said it out loud. Cutting edge journalism.

Of course, I read the whole article (5 1/2 hours trapped in the Philadelphia airport).

And speaking of the live stuff - they put Dylan at 13 and state that his best live album is Royal Albert Hall - but on the sidebar, they list Before The Flood as one of the top 10 live albums of all time. fuct.

I like that Live 1975 the best myself.

the writers of rolling stone picking "yesterday" by "the beatles" as the best rock and roll song ever several months back was the lowest. 15-20 years ago, even less, this magazine was fine. i couldn't wait to get it. now i'm embarrassed i can't stop it.
I'm not concerned about the very poor.

It started going downhill in the early nineties, when they started to glorify Kurt and tried to make heroes out of all the grunge wannabes. I used to look forward to reading it every month before that.
