We have a mole among us

Post by BlueChair »

In my adventures around the web I have found something disturbing. It was written by someone on the board who has joined us in the past few months.

"What I love about the Costello Board...is how pretenious they are..How many times have I said this? Costello is God but this sucks..and that sucks..and we must read deep thoughtful novels...etc..for we are deep thoughtful people."

On behalf of the good people of the Elvis Costello Fan Forum, I suggest you leave if you have such a huge problem with us. I think in any environment you will find people you like and dislike, but I find a lot of what you said on your site insulting, and am sure others would also find it insulting.

I have not mentioned your name, but as your site is linked to your profile, I suspect other people have read the same disturbing words as I have.

I doubt any of us are truly out to be condescending, we just happen to be opinionated. But seriously, if you have a problem, sod off!

Step away from the keyboard, Andrea....step away!

It's very simple. If I walk into a room that's full of people with which I have nothing at all in common, I leave. No reason to stay.

The same, thankfully, applies online. If you find yourself in a message board with people who piss you off, please leave. In fact, I'd like to offer you a cordial invitation to shut the hell up.

My only problem with her blog, really, is that her writing is quite pedestrian. Which is fine, but why have a blog to show off the fact that you don't write so well? Or have deep thoughts to think. Or...something interesting to say.

Just musing. Oh, and ABBA sucks. But War and Peace is a great novel.

What does 'pretenious' mean?

Excuse me while I go back to my DVD viewing. I'm watching Dude, Where's My Car?

A lot of Christians wear crosses around their necks. Do you think when Jesus comes back he ever wants to see a fuckin' cross? It's kind of like going up to Jackie Onassis with a rifle pendant on.

That 'star' is it's nose...but as it's subterranean it is anosmic (no sense of smell)...the tentacles are receptors to touch, so they can feel about..people used to think they were electroreceptors till a few years back, like a platypus' bill.

Another of North America's underappreciated brilliant small mammals!

I say we can the pretense and rename this the "deep, thoughtful persons board", that way there'll be no confusion.

I've set up a board for psychic people. Those wishing to join me will already know where it is

I must admit I am shocked about ElfSlut though.
