I really enjoyed reading through that. Nice to see that EC gets so much respect frommthe Jazzheads. PFM is popular with some of them isn't it?

Wow, those guys really know their Elvis (and their Abe Vigoda).
I was tempted to send this link to a friend of mine who's a total jazz snob, ultra-purist. (I tried playing him "Almost Blue", which he admitted was in the mode of a classic pop standard, but which he adjudged wholly unremarkable.)
But I'm sure he'd just write them off as ignoramuses. (Well, one of them is into "Yes"....but he -- I'm sensing these are mostly "he's" -- seems pretty sharp, regardless.
