ELVIS COSTELLO FAN FORUM TRIBUTE CD

Post by BlueChair »

Okay, this is an official "calling all contributors" message.

The members of this fan group are putting together a tribute to Elvis Costello CD which will ultimately be sent to the man himself.

Now that I am back home I want to get this show on the road. So.... to go about signing up for this project, private message me with the song that you will be recording, and a 2nd song that you could record if we do not have enough contributors to fill a CD (I'm hoping we can get as many contributors as possible though). Also, post the song(s) in response to this message, so people on the board can see the response.

I would be happy to offer my production/session musician assistance to anyone who wants some help. I can play guitar and keyboards and sing so I can add those elements to anybody's recordings if they require some assistance.

I have absolutely NO musical talent, whatsoever, but I do have the software available for designing CD labels, booklets, inserts, etc. So, once the project is complete, would be happy to lend my graphics/photo editing skills to the project, if you are so inclined...

I also want a copy, thank you very much!

I'm DYING to do "Poisoned Rose"--one of his best, in my opinion...

About the only thing I can offer is my digital camera and a good eye. I don't thrust my singing or guitar playing abillities on anyone bar enemies.

I offer my moral support - go get 'em guys! No musical talent, however.

Other than that, if you were all in one central place, I would cater the recording session. :)

Back in the day, my band teacher would yell at me for mixing up the c sharp, and the b flat. I think that means I have no musical talent. But really...as Spooky said...you all have my moral support :D

shower singing and air guitar only...though I'd kill for a copy of this cd... :D
A lot of Christians wear crosses around their necks. Do you think when Jesus comes back he ever wants to see a fuckin' cross? It's kind of like going up to Jackie Onassis with a rifle pendant on.

If anyone begs off/doesn't follow through, I'll gladly cover their song. Not trying to be a hog, but it should be a full cd.

You mean to contribute, LessThanZero? Whatever you think you could pull off well!

I'd be happy to hook you up with some recording studio software too.... if that's all it takes.
