Fantasy Soccerball 20010-11

Post by so lacklustre »

I have reloaded last year's league but renamed it 'Declanaddicts'.

I think that if you were in Hidden Shame last year you will be auto enrolled in this league, once you have set a team up.

Back from glorious France. Had to rush my selection before collecting the dog this morning. Made a good call on captain with Drog, even if it means Chelsea are depressingly maintaining last season's healthy vein of goal-scoring.

NB Two wildcards!

Could be an interesting season. Bearing in mind how depleted our defence was last season, it was still a very close thing. Chelsea are bound to be in the top two. United can win if they gel more than last year, particularly with new blood like Hernandez, Arsenal will under-perform, Hodgson could just make Liverpool decent again, Tottenham and Everton will have a bash, City will fail to deliver again and the Arab owners will lose interest and Mancini will walk.

Nah, I don't buy all this "losing interest" stuff. They may underperform and fire Mancini but they are not going to just cash out. Can't believe they started their season with Tevez alone up front - a false #9 at best. It may take a year or two but I think City will eventually crack the top three.

Hernandez is the Little Pea dude from Mexico, right? I completely forgot Stuart Holden was playing for Bolton. My team may not win, but it will be damn good looking!

Chicharrito, that's the one. Cos of his green eyes. Peas are guisantes in Spain. Guisantito wouldn't have sounded the same.

Pretty chuffed with our 3-0. OK Chelsea are at it again with goal difference, but it's good to see Berbie hitting form and also great that Giggs is the only player to play and score in every Prem, and that tonight's third goal was achieved by a pair adding up to 71 years of age. Haven't seen a second of United playing recently, but Scholes sounds better than ever on the radio.

You want to see City succeed to help justify the chequebook way to the top, but they're still Man City. It'll never happen.

That's got nothing to do with it. By the way, did you really pay £10m for Chris Smalling?

Now if you are to follow the path of the great Arsenal sides everyone has to be pig ugly ( with the exception of Henry of course !)
I passed a domestic chap riding a floor polisher in the new Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham this week who looked exactly like a young Henry and I told him so and then pointed as his polisher and said "Va Va Vroom !" He replied with a totally Anglo-Saxon phrase !

You may be on to something there, SL. I had Tevez as captain this week. Still, I fell to 8th.

Mine too! What a hit!

Arsenal should just concede the three points to Chelsea and rest their players.

I'm now the Hertz rent-a-car of the FF league.

I should not watch these games more often! Mostest does nothing if I tune in.

I had a cracking week last week.

I used my wildcard, changed my squad and then had to log off.

I never got round to changing my team so the intention of putting Nolan and Carr in my team didn't happen.

I only lost out on 25 points because of this!!!

Stupid changing baby nappies.

I will.

Feel free to laugh in my face.
