Twitter:
caldron_baidu: Elvis Costello was fantastic; just him and a collection of guitars w a good mix of the old & new material. Faves? Veronica and God's Comic
everetttrue: just back from an evening spent with Mr Elvis Costello. Damn, but that dude still rocks. Even in convention centres!
Mesomorphman: I have been to Elvis Costello's Brisbane concert and I took an instant dislike of the man and his music. I hate Elvis Costello seriously!

Elvis Costello has explored most shades of popular music in his long career,
from spikey rocker to romantic ballad singer. He's also turned his hand to
jazz, country and opera.
One are we haven't seen too often is the solo troubadour.
Costello is a good storyteller, both in his songs and between them, so the
format suits him.
At his Brisbane Convention Centre show last night, Costello dipped into most
parts of his vast catalogue.
He began with *(The Angels Wanna Wear My) Red Shoes* from his first album
and he fast-forwarded through songs such as *Veronica* and *All This Useless
Beauty* to brand new songs such as the as-yet-unreleased *Poor Borrowed
Dress*.
Costello's never been tied down by fashion or genre and this show only
emphasised how well his songs have weathered.
