Random Thoughts

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

Nope. And nope, the concern and degree there of that you exhibit does however reveal you to be a conformist with acute approval seeking tendencies.
That's me - are you a clairvoyant in real life bamboo!

And so lack - I said outcast, not outkast

Because you're a The Jam fan I thought you might have turned around and given a reply closer to:

"I don't have to explain myself to you
and I don't give too fucks about your review"

instead of being so daft. Where's your fire!

Your babies would all have receding hairlines and talk in a monotone.

The funniest thing on TV nowadays are the big red balls on 'Wipeout'

QFT. I know I shouldn't like it, but I do. The kids and I watch it every week and get a kick out of it.

Verbal, were you one of those Jam fans who had a drastic wardrobe and style makeover when Paul Weller started The Style Council? Since I became aware of it I've wondered about how (not you necessarily, you might have been very stylish and debonair to begin with) the probably not very fashion-conscious pub-going majority of Jam fans would have taken Weller's style change. Was it much of an issue?

I was never one of those Jam fans who dressed up like Paul Weller and similarly when The Style Council started. However a lot of fashion in the 1980s was pretty dodgy to say the least anyway. There were some awful fashions but as I was 19 in 1982 I was guilty but not in the sense that I slavishly tried to copy Paul Weller's look (or anyone else's for that matter).

I am a bit of a girl when it comes to clothes/shoes these days though but that's only because as I've gotten older and had more money I've taken heed of the advice of spending twice as much for something that lasts five times as long. Mind you, that's no excuse for owning 15 suits, 30 workshirts and 50 or so ties  There's not much I can say to defend myself on that one. And as for casual clothes - let's not go THERE!!!

Btw, lately I've been discovering how fun and efficient planning your (my) day's clothes for days ahead can be. I'd previously resisted the idea but just for stupid reasons.

I've tried that, but I'd get up and hate that day's selection. What can I say? I'm a free spirit!

But you have a starting point which is at least half of the decision making process - that's what I discovered. And that's not all, it's good to know that you're not wearing the same shoes, jeans etc too often.

Delbert McClinton is the bomb diggity.

Also, Blender magazine ceased publication so the remainder of my subscription is going to be filled by Maxim.
