Last year was poor, but this year is far worse. At least we new it would get better then. I cannot honestly say that this year.

I feel for you Jackson. I really thought getting Ramos was going to be a great move for Spurs, but it's all gone haywire.Jackson Monk wrote:I saw that.

Always rated Jol. He was abused.
Always hated Wise. I think he might arguably be my least favourite player of all time. Nasty, repellent little thug.

For what it's worth I never liked Wise either. So I can be objective - sorta.Otis Westinghouse wrote:Always rated Jol. He was abused.

I am very sorry you are upset by Wisey being paid where he is.
I can sympathise with people's objection to nits appointing him at Newc.
I liked him at Wombledin/my Chels/amd Leeds a bit.

Re: Wake up you footy fans!!!
That's great stuff, isn't it?
Italian football was a lot of fun to watch at that time - Baggio, Ravanelli, Vialli, Batistuta, Zola. Some really fantastic players. Now I have a hard time making it through a Serie A match.
Richardson is one of my favorite football pundits. The Guardian podcast is something I rarely miss - always good entertainment.

Fantastic. From late 90s? I don't know Richardson, better check out the podcasts. He's clearly a big EC fan. I love those puns! 'Olivera's Army', 'Good Year for the Rossoneri'. Didn't know Elv was a Juve fan, back when he was into hanging out in Italy. Now he probably goes to baseball games. Or ice hockey.

Here's hoping WSS and the fam are headed to Giants Stadium today. We be needing a win.
I think the main attraction tonight is gonna be crew/revs, however.

Re: Wake up you footy fans!!!
Unbelievable result for Hull. Just when it looked like Arse had their jugular. Astonishing goal by Geovanni. Goal of the season? the distance and the incredible accuracy were breathtaking. Nice one by Rooney too, with lovely assist from Cristiano. So far so good in terms of FF wild card and making CR captain as for so much of last year. shame Stoke couldn't do a Hull, but at least there's the consolation of having Bosingwa in my FF team. Handy player. Ridiculous penalty gave MU lead. People will accuse CR of diving, and, well he is rather good at that, but it would have been very hard for him not to go down, it's just the way he does it. But the ref had a clear view and it was 100% ball contact and non-ambiguously so. It would be good to be back in the top 3 with that game in hand.

God, what a defensive horror show. How did we lose 4-5 to Colorado? At least the rain held off.Who Shot Sam? wrote:Yep, me, Faust from our fantasy league and the boy will be there today. 4-5! I like it. I also enjoyed Wigan beating the moneybags. City played Portsmouth off the pitch, but that's all they've done of late. Odd. Nice to see my two Wigan players scoring. Good weekend for the less glamorous but hard-working, well organised sides like Hull and Wigan. Spurs seem as abjectly desperate as Newcastle, all confidence gone. Ramos totally misreable and surely out soon. And some Asian moneybags about to step in? It's all getting a bit silly.

Re: Wake up you footy fans!!!
New guys looked very good. Very nice goal by Mbuta, set up by Kandji.
The defending was the problem. Cichero had a stinker and Jimenez was very shaky as well.

Re: Wake up you footy fans!!!
Off to the Red Bulls-Toronto game tonight.
Nice game by the Red Rockets this afternoon. We lost, but my boy hit the post twice. They are getting better positional sense and learning how to share the ball a bit more.

What the hell is wrong at Norwich City football club? Lost again today against 10 men. Who is to blame?
