Turpentine

Post by colrow26 »

Hey, you wait so long for a song called "Turpentine" to come along then two come at once!!
just been watching Later with Jools Holland and someone called Brandi Carlile sang her tune called Turpentine!! Im ashamed to say i know nothing about her but the song was really good. From what i heard Im pretty certain it has nothing to do with the EC song of the same name on MF but pretty curious all the same...
...I want him to hurt...

I doubt there's any connection, but Brandi Carlile isn't that far removed from Elvis. Her album was produced by T Bone Burnett. On YouTube you can find videos of her singing "The Scarlet Tide" in concert.

the chorus of this one reminds me of the melody of "starless summer sky" by marshall crenshaw, if anyone knows that song.
you lack lust...
you're so lacklustre...
is that all the strength
you can muster?
