Here's an interesting take on Ascention Day from a Japanese TV broadcast. . .

And an unusual version of Alison (with Steve Nieve) from another Japanese broadcast. . .

And some chat from the same broadcast. . .

Absolutely worthless and meaningless mention of EC's new album (entitled Momofuku, if you haven't already heard). . .

That looks suspiciously like the 1978 Rockpalast show.

Here's a live version of Opportunity that I've not seen before. Looks to be from the Armed Funk tour.

And from a year later, one of my all-time favorite Smokey covers. Great guitar from Elvis and Marty Belmont. And that bass playing ain't too shabby (doll) either. . .

Thanks... I see someone's already given the Later interview a mere 2 out of 5 rating, possibly because I paused the tape for the Aretha Franklin clip as a 14 year old... we can't get them all right at that age....

Hi

Came across this oddity having watched the footage of She and Bedlam from yesterday's show in Spain.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cjbV9z50 ... ature=fvwp

I guess he learned this at his mother's knee ( I know I did) as it was popular in the late 1950s on the wireless, and then updated for the new century in time to amuse his own children.

Hope you like it too.

Thank you for sharing- have been thinking it is about time he did a children's album with Diana- I for one would buy it. Your time may be off as the song was written in 1961 and made popular in 1962 by the man up the road from me, Pete Seeger.

Thanks for this, yes sure you're right, making me and Elvis 6 at the time (not 4 as I had thought). Pete Seeger - now there's a legend...

My parents told me I was born in 1954 ( on 7th March if you're thinking of sending me a present!)

EC's website also says he was born in 1954 too, but this is under the "...lies..." portion...

What's a year or two between friends?
