Punch The Clock reissue

I think I've come to the point where I really enjoy the Punch The Clock album itself. Though I still think the merseybeat version of "Everyday I Write The Book" is a billion times better than the one on the actual album.

The Jellybean Benitz 12inch mix of EDIWTB is the only decent remix done of any EC track. Also worth tracking down is the reggae version of this tune that nearly made it the latest re-issue.

Pardon me while I spout out my opinion, but you must be cognizant of the fact that this record is a product of the early eighties where overly produced music was in vogue. Instead of the song being at the forefront it was the production value. The music business is a business and this is especially true in the eighties. Elvis had to compete with all the artists of the eighties that, history shows us, didn't have the longevity Elvis enjoys. (where is Flock Of Seagulls?)
