King of America V This Years Model

Well, this is the tie of the round and I am really struggling with this. Both in my top four.

Neither are among my favourites, though both have some of my favourite songs. Ultimately I had to go for This Year's Model.

Has to be TYM. KOA has never been one of my favourites (ducks).

I was gonna vote for TYM, but Spooky threatened me.

I'm with Spooky and POV. While TYM was an image and attitude defining album for Elvis and a sound-defining album for the Attractions, KOA is simply the best album Elvis has ever made!

Hey! How did you know how I voted?!? I thought this was supposed to be an anonymous poll! What is this, an Iraqi election?

Ooooops! I didn't know you voted. I saw Mood Swung's vote and comment, had a brain cramp and thought it was you! I've never been accused of being psychic before! Psycho, maybe. . .but not psychic. Regardless, I admire your taste! KOA! KOA! KOA!

Spooky, have you cast your vote, yet?

I went KOA...not because it is better, cause they are both great, but this album for me is where he told his record label off and did it his way....thumbing his nose the whole way.....I love a rebellious boy, as long as he isn't rebelling against me...

*clears throat* Thanks for checking on me, migdd.

KOA, please. :) And Mood, that wasn't a threat, I simply asked if you knew where all of your children were right now.

Keep ducking, So Lack.

I knew I could count on you Jackson. :)

By the way, all you people who voted KOA may come to my house tonight for drinks and hors d'oeuvres - on me! The bar is ready. :D

Umm, after I get back from my boys' soccer game.

Looking forward to it, Misha. :)

Anyone else want to RSVP? All it costs is a vote for KOA.

There weren't any rules on campaigning, were there? 8)

A bottle of wine?

Bushels of money?

I say there are no rules.....bribery and whoring are all allowed to get votes!

Spooky, if I thought I could make it to Huntsville from Clover, SC, by tonight without losing my job or the kids missing part of the schoolday, I'd be there in a heartbeat, my KOA soul-friend! But you know that KOA has my vote anyway!

Everyone just show up and I'll provide all the goodies. I cater weddings and parties sometimes, so I'm usually always ready for a party.

Especially for KOA. :)

Although, Misha - I wouldn't turn down that bushel of money. If you can bring that, you must be the A-list celeb. :)

this is almost unfair.
it looks like a number of the voters are 'older' and we grew up on tym.
i , of course, had to go with tym. even if just for hand in hand
oh, i useta be disgusted
now i try to be amused

I grew up on early Elvis, but I still think that KOA is a singular greater acheivement than TYM (even though I ld ove TYM)
