For the first time, I'm skipping an EC show. It's at IU's Assembly Hall, which I'm sure will be a kick-ass venue. But, it's also Homecoming weekend. Being a Hoosier (of sorts) myself, I know what happens to Bloomington during this weekend. It's less than an hour's drive from Indy, but it's just not worth it to me. Sigh. If someone goes, lemme know how it was.

SoLike, great to hear from you. As i recall you were a fellow Timberlake fan. My daughter and I have been grooving (she's groaning as I type this)to his last record. I am probably the only 50 year old in town with a keen appreciation for Timberlake/Timbaland product. You like his record?

Elvis in Bloomington IN

We had great seats about 10 rows off the floor behind the mixing desk. The acoustics were excellent from that position and I remarked more than once that I wished I had brought along my DAT. Elvis was in great form and in a good mood. The crowd responded well to his new material. He made the comment that he would have played piano but couldn't rent one in Bloomington. I bet he says that in every town on this tour. His primary acoustic guitar needs some serious help. The pick up was so crappy that it couldn't handle his hard playing. It was soooo distorted soooo often. Later Elvis sat alone and watched Dylan from the mixer corral for about 30 min. Hardly anyone noticed he was there.

That was great. The Arnold bit made me laugh, and great performance.
Why don't you write about it in your blag?
