Echos Myron - one of about 25 million pop delights from the gifted head of Mr Pollard - who true to form, is releasing two new records in the next few weeks I believe.

with endurance like the liberty bell
and he tells you of the dreamers
but he's cracked up like the road
and he'd like to lift us up, but we're a very heavy load

Bad Medicine is not a bad track, Elvis praised it and Jon is probably still grateful. Jon got neatly skewered by Hannah Pool recently in the Guardian, do check it out

Shake Me, Wake Me (When Its Over) ..... was just listening to this last night, fantastic slice of motown magic. Right up there with Smokey and the Miracles in my book.

I've never been a BJB fan in terms of music, but he seems like a decent guy, and this journalist seemed like an ass-monkey to me.martinfoyle wrote:Bad Medicine is not a bad track, Elvis praised it and Jon is probably still grateful. Yes, The Guardian pulled bit of a fast one on Bon sending a smartarse like Hannah along, still I enjoyed the exchange, I'm sure Bon has had to suffer worse.
Never heard of Kate Campbell, though a quick google got me her intriguing bio, and I've ordered her latest album, so thanks for the tip, migdd.

Love Plus One. Annoying but effective chart pop. The cricket jumpers, silly socks and guitars on nipples were all a bit much, but he could knock out a good tune. I think Anna was his mum's name, and so 'Grey Anna grey Anna' is perhaps a comment on her hair. Does this qualify as it's Haircut 100? I don't know his solo stuff, though I've seen the odd favourable review.
Kings of Leon (who I thought looked pretty impressive in the footage from Reading last week)
