Well, I didn't have your official vote yet. HR allowed is going to be added back in to the pitching stats. I have (I guess) 3 for and - now - three against total bases being added. BWAP, poll your brother and put us all out of our misery please!

Happy to see Notre Dame lose tonight (wrong thread....but I still hate Notre Dame)

I sent an e-mail to my brother through the League site on the vote ....I'll check back throughout the weekend - I'll probably not be on the internet Monday and Tuesday this week.

since we seemed destined to add total bases, could we get that added to the settings? once you add it it will factor that into each player's "rank" and it is almost impossible to find info on total bases in any other organized way.

I think I will vote yes. I have never seen those categories implemented so I think it would make it a little more intereseting. As long as both the hitting and pitching categories have the same number of categories I am fine with the change.
Above is my brother's vote.

Well, that's the thing, isn't it? There would be one more hitting category if we add total bases.

I'm not going to. I will keep an even number of categories and set the league to Ready today.

Dodgers starting off like a house on fire - 13-5 so far, after dropping their two opening games.

And I've never been so happy to see A-Rod hitting home runs! :)

OK oily, what's happened to your Cardinals? And the Yankees 14 or so games behind the Olde Towne Teame as well. Heads will roll soon I reckon.

i am a cubs fan, i'll have you know. i'll tell you what happened to the cardinals though. didn't spend anything in the off-season. new stadium, practically sold out, ridiculous year for free agent salaries, so they mailed it in, sold out the locals, and are taking all the dough home. i suspect the big dogs agreed to it and no one's job will be in jeopardy. they'll spend next year i imagine.

Piniella's tantrums have been entertaining, and Zambrano and Barrett's bout of fisticuffs has to be one of the season's highlights.

Dodgers have now beaten the Gnats 11 straight games in San Francisco. Bonds in meltdown mode with the media after the game.

It sounds awful I know, but I hope he gets a career-ending injury before he breaks Aaron's home rune record.

My Twinkies sweep the pathetic A's to open the second half of the season! Santana is something like 44-4 in the second half of the season over the past few years - incredible!!

Bonds will break the record, unfortunately. But I'll be rooting very hard for A-Rod to smash it wide open in the near future!

cosmos, you're right - Santana is usually lights out in the second half of the season. I heard them running down the numbers on ESPN Radio on Saturday and they are pretty amazing.

ARod will definitely beat Bonds' record somewhere down the line, but probably not in New York. The pathetic Yankees are proving again that you CANNOT buy success - you have to earn it through hard work!
