Transfering EC live show FLACs to CD

Post by buzz »

This is a request for software advice. What are people's suggestions as the best software (free or otherwise) for coverting FLAC files on to CD's for playing (in my car) Have tried Winamp but didn't like how this is set up and latest upgrade has removed the facility anyway. What else is there that is simple for a novice like me to use (novice in a computer sense not a religious one!)

I have Nero 9 and it burns FLAC-files to an audio-CD.
Since you put me down, it seems i've been very gloomy. You may laugh but pretty girls look right through me.

On the Mac, I use 'Amadeus' to do this. It does them as a batch (ie fairly quick and simple)

There is probably a much better way, but having downloaded FLAC files via Dime/Utorrent, I use Flacfrontend :

http://members.home.nl/w.speek/flac.htm

to convert them to WAV files,

and then Nero ( Smart Start? - it's an old free version anyway) to rip them to CD.

All the above seems easy to this non techie.

I was once an novice, but now it's a habit - sorry, I'll get my coat!

Good luck

I use toast cause you can burn them from flac and plus it has easy crossfade control. Itunes can burn cds too but you have to convert the flac first (unless they have upgraded) There are probably some free burners on Sourceforge.net or Cnet if your looking for that direction. If I had a PC I would probably use Nero - cheers
