....I thought this thread was supposed to be to post pictures of ourselves not our cats. Perhaps someone should start a "Post your puss" thread instead?

Not that I really mind, I just miss my kitty back at home....We can't have pets (besides fish) in the residence halls here....yet another reason I can't wait to graduate..... :(

I suppose that is a mighty fine point.....ok, next one to post something non-human has to start a new thread.....

No pets? That sucks. That just means (sorry Blue) that you will have to go to your neighboring co-ed and scratch them.....and let them snuggle next to you, and feed them, and clean up after them...wait...nevermind.....

Oooh Bambooneedle, nice cat, she looks so sweet. Bambooneedle's admission of Misty's huntress ways is proof that a cat is not pet for a shape changing lizards! So Laughingcrow the fate your cat met, while lamentable, is perhaps for the best. Confusion in titled ladies is attractive, is it not?

Pip they do look familiar-fotolog familiar I'd say. Great pictures!

Sorry you miss your cat Redshoes. Here's one for now.

A friend of mine once said that there's nothing sexier than a man who looks like he could kill you.

LC, you're sexy as hell! And I mean that, babe.

Found this a while ago while rummaging through old boxes of photos in my parents' closet. I couldn't resist...it's one of my favorites: me at 2 years old with my dad, circa 1980 or so. The hideousness of the couch cannot dim the loveliness of the moment...

crow, thanks for taking that so well, reading back it doesn't look like a nice post but it was meant as a joke.

I'll buy you a pint next time you're in Basingstoke, but be sure to give me plenty of notice that you're coming as I will need to arrange things security wise.

Just feeling evil. Nah, just saw a doco and have been reading about him and his hedonistic rituals. He was a peculiar dude... an apparent mystic with a scarily arresting stare. Used a doctrine of "salvation through sin" -- the idea was that they would drive out sin by exhausting it out of themselves... they would have work themselves up into a state of religious ecstacy by dancing, chanting, drinking, flagellation and sex.

He ended up with the Russian Tsar and royal family under his spell, and was the most hated man in Russia. He had an unusually powerful 'second sight' - he could see through people and situations - first displayed when he was a child and some peasants were discussing the theft of a horse. He suddenly pointed at one of them and said, "He is the thief". The guy denied it and his father apologized, but others were suspicious. They followed the guy home, found the horse, beat him severy, and returned it to its owner.

I first became intrigued by Rasputin in college after reading Nicholas and Alexandra. I found him to be interesting in that scary kind of way, but very captivating to read about what affects he had on people.

What doco were you watching? If I can find it on tv here, I'd love to see it.

Indeed, Rasputin was a fascinating character, abusing his position so much it was almost funny, i.e the "bed warming" service he provided for the women at his feet hoping to be sanctified. Amazing to think he survived being poisoned and shot twice then found to be still alive when finally dumped in a river.

Alcoholic, horny, almost invincible and mad as a box of frogs. What a monk!

Cheers 'boo! I may go and have another read of Rasputin: The Last Word, a great book if you want to find out more.
