DrS and I would like to say thanks to the Moods for giving us a wonderful picnic dinner when we visited their "neck of the woods" last week. It was a really fun time and, together, we had enough kids to have a soccer team. :)

Here are some of the pics. Many thanks again, Mood, to you and the Mister.

Oily: Nah, it was a rare moment and a glimpse into the side of Mr. Mood that none of us know.

Errr, yeah. That's it.

Is this picture the collapsing of the human pyramid?

Thanks Spooky but we want to see a picture of the two board ladies in our lives.

Appropriately for a moody-spooky picnic, the weather looks a bit gloomy. :)

Wasn't so much gloomy as it was just plain dark. We hung out and drank until there was no more daylight.

Sorry, Verbal. We didn't get any pics of just me and Moody. I did sneak one of Mood, Doc and Jim though.

Great pics!!

Are those BBQs typical of what is over there (design wise)... never seen anything like that before... a BBQ on a pole.

Also, I note that Mr Mood looks awfully comfortable with a beer in his hand (in both pics)... a little too comfortable, in fact ;) I also note that it looks suspiciously like a can of Fosters... if it is, he should be warned that we antipodeans won't touch that stuff with a barge pole.

Time(e), I believe it was Southpaw, but Moody will need to back me up on that. Doc and I were having cider that night.

naw, that's not southpaw, that's an ice brewed beer. builds hairy chests.

It was Southpaw and even if it were Foster's it isn't the same here. It is brewed by Molson.

Shatterproof... The shirt even glows in the dark. :-)

naw, that's not southpaw. moody's drinkin' southpaw, but mr moody ain't drinkin' no stinkin' light beer. unless he done ran out of that ice brewed beer. then in an emergency...

This Brit won't touch it either.

Hmmm...when are we going to have a Board Members Meet'nGreet Barbecue in the UK?

Or shall we stick with our now traditional all day beer and a Chinese?

first, let me say, as God is my witness, I can stand and walk upright.

second, I drink southpaw, the mr. drinks some nasty ice beer that I call Headache in One Can. and mr. mood is indeed very comfortable with a beer in his hand. for that matter, I suppose I am as well.

third, re: bbq design. typical National Park Service. set in concrete and will withstand most flood, fire, hurricane, etc.

fourth, Fosters. 1982. I was 19. the shit was good!

fifth,
are we going to have a Board Members Meet'nGreet Barbecue in the UK?

I heartily encourage you to do so.

Sorry I caught you in your bent-over state, Moody. I suppose you were grabbing another one of those Southpaws out of the cooler.

Damn that was a fun evening. You UK people should do this!

Spooky, is Moody as mad in person as she is on here, or is she all sane and organised and efficient and normal in person, and just keeps the freaky stuff for here?

Well, if this gives you any clue, Mood wanted us to all go clubbing together, but none of the kids were old enough to drive themselves out of the park we were in, so we just stayed there at the BBQ.

You guys wouldn't believe it, but Mood is actually very quiet spoken in person. She's an all-around great lady, but she does save her freaky stuff for the board, I think.

Couldn't you just collect them the next day?

What? Like John Prine?

No quibbles about MDM being a great lady though.

you guys are embarassing me.

feel free to keep it up!

Let me just say thanks to folks like Spooks, Doc, Oily and G2S, who have met this social retard, lived to tell the tale in spite of her lack of culinary skill - well, skills of any sort really, and even come back a second or third time. hugs & kisses.

and anybody else, if you ever find yourself in East Tennessee....
