This is shit.

It used to be a really big deal to get a star on the so-called "walk of fame." Now they'll give it to any old slut.

but look how nicely her jacket matches the star. 8)

My only hope is that in 2013 people will walk down the Hollywood Walk of Fame and wonder, "Who the hell is Britney Spears?"

I just hope that we don't wind up with Britney's version of My Favorite Things is all I'm saying!

How many decades did Little Richard wait till he got a star on that very same walk?

Well...she is pretty famous...and her name's only gonna be part of a pavement that will be trodden on for millennia...

Who's Brittany Spears? She looks vaguely familiar.

Nothing would turn me on more than doing really creepy things to her and making her break down and sob.... 8)

When asked about her feelings re: the star, she paused and reported that she is "Seriously Speechless". Deep.

Watch the star erode, explode, with resultant released energy withdrawn into the substance of pavement as a large black hole. I've consulted with Mr. Hawking on this issue and it is inevitable. The star is too unstable, and its energy capacitance will suddenly be released, only to escape in the form of a black hole on Holloywood Blvd.

Some call them pot holes.

Some refer to them as simply "holes"

With the reinvention and risque 'branding' of Ms. Brittany as the receiver of the Madonna baton (kiss Kiss), I think it has already happened in some respects...more physiologically and spiritually, and less astrologically...yet.

Now if only she'd do her own version of 'Sex'

1. I know where to rent a jackhammer....

2. If anyone (including Blue) ever posts a picture of CD on here again I will go completely spastic and have some sort of attack that will cause me to be hospitalized, and once I come out of the coma and find a pad of paper and a pen, as I would have been rendered speechless, and somehow remember how to write, and note to the nurse that I need a laptop with internet capability, and google this website, as I won't have remembered the address, because my entire memory will be swiss cheese because of the damage from the coma and seizures, I will post here, and you will all feel bad and form a large posse and drive to Canada, after consulting with Homeland Security to get clearance, and beat the snot out of Blue Chair, returning only after giving Homeland Security his fingerprints off his maimed carcass..

My apologies to those of you that will have to fly in at great expense to make Blue Chair accountable for his careless actions. Blue knows not what he does.

Maybe I have a problem.....

I was going to post some Celine Dion lyrics on the site for you Misha but I thought that might tip you over the edge!

Celine Dion stopped Bruce Forsyth's daughter Julie from winning the Eurovision song contest 1988.....and if she is an enemy of Brucey, she is an enemy of Britain! :D

Hey now! The reason I posted that pic (like the one of Britney several months ago) was to incite anger, not against myself, but to the situation we have at our hands. Either they have run out of people truly deserving of the Hollywood Walk Of Fame honour, or I don't know.

I find it deeply disturbing that you have written what you wrote, and furthermore, it should be the good people at Hollywood & Vine (in the very same city in which you live!) that you should be angry at, not me, who was merely reporting news that I found to be just as sickening as you do.

Oh come now, people. Let's all unite for good and dislike Celine simply for the irritating singer she is. And apparently obtaining a star on the so-called "walk of fame" has become some sort of PR scam since it used to really mean something to get a star. You had to be a real larger than life type celebrity to get one.

It may have come to a contest of money making - if you have made a certain amount of money for your manager and record or film company, then you earn a star. :?

Celluloid Heroes
by Ray Davies

Everybody's a dreamer and everybody's a star,
And everybody's in movies, it doesn't matter who you are.
There are stars in every city,
In every house and on every street,
And if you walk down Hollywood Boulevard
Their names are written in concrete!

Don't step on Greta Garbo as you walk down the Boulevard,
She looks so weak and fragile that's why she tried to be so hard
But they turned her into a princess
And they sat her on a throne,
But she turned her back on stardom,
Because she wanted to be alone.

You can see all the stars as you walk down Hollywood Boulevard,
Some that you recognise, some that you've hardly even heard of,
People who worked and suffered and struggled for fame,
Some who succeeded and some who suffered in vain.
Rudolph Valentino, looks very much alive,
And he looks up ladies' dresses as they sadly pass him by.
Avoid stepping on Bela Lugosi
'Cos he's liable to turn and bite,
But stand close by Bette Davis
Because hers was such a lonely life.
If you covered him with garbage,
George Sanders would still have style,
And if you stamped on Mickey Rooney
He would still turn round and smile,
But please don't tread on dearest Marilyn
'Cos she's not very tough,
She should have been made of iron or steel,
But she was only made of flesh and blood.

You can see all the stars as you walk down Hollywood Boulevard,
Some that you recognise, some that you've hardly even heard of.
People who worked and suffered and struggled for fame,
Some who succeeded and some who suffered in vain.

Everybody's a dreamer and everybody's a star
And everybody's in show biz, it doesn't matter who you are.

And those who are successful,
Be always on your guard,
Success walks hand in hand with failure
Along Hollywood Boulevard.

I wish my life was a non-stop Hollywood movie show,
A fantasy world of celluloid villains and heroes,
Because celluloid heroes never feel any pain
And celluloid heroes never really die.

You can see all the stars as you walk along Hollywood Boulevard,
Some that you recognise, some that you've hardly even heard of,
People who worked and suffered and struggled for fame,
Some who succeeded and some who suffered in vain.

Oh celluloid heroes never feel any pain
Oh celluloid heroes never really die.

I wish my life was a non-stop Hollywood movie show,
A fantasy world of celluloid villains and heroes,
Because celluloid heroes never feel any pain
And celluloid heroes never really die.

Ray Davies "Celluloid Heroes" is once again taking a beating. I previously reported the tragic act of giving Holywood Walk of Fame starts to Britney Spears and Celine Dion.

We can now add two other tragic additions:

Image

Sharing the role of playing a baby on a sitcom and making shitty movies apparently gets you a star now. Fucking hell.

Well, apparently it's not too big of an accomplishment - looks like they're sharing a star. I can't make it out completely, but it looks like both of their names are on it.

It keeps going... I know I should be over this by now, but why do they keep giving Walk of Fame stars to STUPID people with no talent?

Image

By the way.. the two pictures towards the top were not originally of Seinfeld and that woman from E! I think one was originally Celine Dion and the other was Britney

I guess, BC, because it is The Walk of FAME, not The Walk of TALENT.

No talent hacks getting those stars is nothing new. It has always been that way. For every Humphry Bogart on the Walk of Fame, there's a Mousketeer as well. And so it goes.

Stars on the Walk of Fame are not 'awarded'. They are purchased by the star's fan clubs in most cases, hence the lack of any sort of qualifying talent or legend status. Basically, if you have enough fans to have a fan club, and that fan club can raise enough money to get you a star, you get a star.
