Merry Christmas!!

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

Warmest wishes of this holiday season to all:

http://youtu.be/iehfH0JYbCA

XXVIII.{from In Memorium}

The time draws near the birth of Christ:
The moon is hid; the night is still;
The Christmas bells from hill to hill
Answer each other in the mist.

Four voices of four hamlets round,
From far and near, on mead and moor,
Swell out and fail, as if a door
Were shut between me and the sound:

Each voice four changes on the wind,
That now dilate, and now decrease,
Peace and goodwill, goodwill and peace,
Peace and goodwill, to all mankind.

This year I slept and woke with pain,
I almost wish’d no more to wake,
And that my hold on life would break
Before I heard those bells again:

But they my troubled spirit rule,
For they controll’d me when a boy;
They bring me sorrow touch’d with joy,
The merry merry bells of Yule.

Tennyson

May the bells in all your 'hamlets' ring joyfully this evening!

Seasonal greetings and happy wishes for 2013. Love the number 13 (born on a 13th), so I know it's gonna be a good one.

Loved the Tracey T Joy video, IP. Shot in Lille, it says. What a great song. Definitely my favourite new Christmas song. Tracery describes it as a secular carol. I get where she's coming from. Album as a whole is great. Short and long films about its making here:

"Joy" is a great song indeed. Hope it'll become a new Christmas classic.
Check out Tracey's Advent calendar with plenty of good stuff - acoustic versions of Tinsel songs, videos, interviews or even Christmas recipes.

HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYONE!!
