More a Yodel fan as kid but an era has passed along with about 18,000 American jobs. Health wise we might be better off- although the radioactive shelf life of these cakes is indeterminate.

Great post, Jack!

Too bad about those jobs, obviously. It's hard to be too sad about the passing of toxic-waste-as-food, of course, but there is something distinctively and delightfully American about Twinkies and their ilk. What a shame.

They are back and to paraphrase a famous quote- "rumors of their demise" were misleading- knew you could not kill them what with all those chemicals in their makeup. They must have a radioactive shelf life of over 25 thousand years! :twisted:
