Happy Birthday VG

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

Happy Birthday VG

Many congrats to the mighty Verbal, my dear friend and EC concert attendee, who has now reached the age where his posts may be viewed as the murmurings of a mature and experienced mind and Not those of a loon !!!

I will heartily second that having recently broken bread with the man. He is a fine fellow and excellent company at the dinner table. Now does that make him '21'? Happy Birthday and many more are wished for you.

Thanks one and all.

I haven't been on the site for a little while so I missed this.

Next year will be the 10th anniversary of my 40th birthday.

Thanks again.

Another year and now a Big Un - so after all the hints , Happy Birthday VG . I have spent many wonderful hours in this amazing man's company, pre, post and during huge numbers of EC concerts and every moment in his company is a real pleasure. Can I have my Revolver mug now please

Oh my-yet another and a milepost to boot- I have been wracking my feeble skull for an appropriate gift to place in the mail only now to realize that nothing will top the 'special hug' you received this morning from your little namesake. Happy 50th friend!!!!

Happy birthday, old sport. Hope the party is a cracker and sorry I can't be there in person to celebrate.

Good to know you've survived (was going to add 'you old git', but I'll spare you).

Thanks for a great time VG and for all your friends being so welcoming to the contingent from this board. What with all the crazy running around I quite forgot to get a photo of us all together - we'll do that at the 60th :D

I did get this -

Image

The X Scene, entertaining at the party , featuring Procul Harem's Matthew Fisher on keyboards , hence a pretty epic version of Whiter Shade Of Pale

Shame you didn't book me and my cover-crazy cohorts (though still no EC in the set!). Not that the date would have been good, and not that we could top an epic WSOP with the original keyboardist, but you might have enjoyed our Eton Rifles, Papa's Got a Brand New Pigbag, Here Comes Your Man, and many more besides. If anyone is in Cambridge on Dec 14 and fancies our Christmas bash in a venue straight out of Life on Mars, let me know!

Sounds like a fun evening. Shame I couldn't join you. How much EC was played during the event?

How on earth did I miss this!? Of course, a big happy birthday to VG! I hope much dancing was done and that the year ahead includes some fantastic gigs :D
