Vale Jimmy Niven (keyboardist with the Sports)

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

Vale Jimmy Niven (keyboardist with the Sports)

Post by Tim(e) »

Haven't posted here for a long time, and a shame it has to be for such a sad reason, but for anyone familiar with the Australian band The Sports, their keyboard player Jim Niven passed away at 10am yesterday (9th April) as a result of cancer; The Sports toured the UK with EC in the 80's. I was fortunate enough to have been able to call Jim a friend and had the pleasure of playing with him a few times in makeshift bands here in Sydney. He will be missed.
