Fantasy Football 2011/12

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

I'll be there at some stage.

I had a good last third of the season but won't be making any boasts half way through the season...

Eh so lack?

Nice start... Thanks to f*****-up servers of the refurbished FFL site, I had to play with an auto-completed team.
This also means I will be forced to use my wild-card as early as Gameweek 2. :x

Worry not: free, unlimited transfers for gameweek two, and an option to run the league from then too, which I would advocate our administrator (who is that?!) follows through. I would have been well pleased with the points from Rooney and Young had I put them in as planned.

http://www.premierleague.com/page/Headl ... 13,00.html

Am loving the feel of United this season. Young is totally at home in the mighty red shirt. Cleverley looks like a fantastic contributor. Welbeck is stepping up. If De Gea can find his feet and confidence, and eat a few more steaks, and we can survive OK with Rio and Nemanja out, all should be well. Then again, last season showed we were always weaker when one or both of those two were out, and also if De Gea lets in a soft goal from West Brom, what would happen to him in a big CL game? (Then again he must have faced Barca a few times.) Massimo Taibi is being referred to, but I hope time will tell.

Rooney's hair seems to have given him the impetus he needed!

I would leave it as it is, if only to see my kids happy to lead the pack. They made some excellent choices and - lucky for them - they decided to make them on Thursday.
Besides, by Gameweek 5 I will be on top of the table anyway.

It is probably too early to say, but Ashley Young seems indeed to be a great transfer for ManU.
Same with Aguero for the Citizens.
Can't get used to "hairy" Rooney.

I think the league should be left to run from week 1. Not because I did quite well but because we all has plenty of time to select our teams.

I'll take advantage of the free transfers for gameweek 2 though

I'm admin - I'll leave the scores to run from week one unless there are major objections on here in the next day or so.

I came home drunk from the pub last night and played about with my team.

Memo to self - don't do that again (change the team that is). Going the the pub is ok of course as is getting drunk!

Wise words VG.

I transferred out Luis Enrique and Kevin Davies and transferred in John Terry (who I made captain) and Franco Di Santo.

I must have had a dodgy pint (probably the 7th).

I made K Davies third sub, and put in Aguero! Almost all my players seem to have got 1 or 2 so far. I was better of last week with the auto-select. Hoping for great things from MUFC tomorrow night...

I'm winning.

In the Charlie Sheen sense, at least!

When I set up my team, I looked at all these names and I kept thinking, is he STILL playing? They all seemed so ... old! I'm not even going to think about how that reflects on myself. It's August, back to school time, beginning of winter (in my mind, anyway) and I'm just gonna think happy thoughts until April.

Kinda like ... well, I'll just keep that to myself.

I got more on the week 1 auto-select debacle than I did on week 2's carefully selected squad! It's going to b e a long season...

I forgot to change my team and ended up getting 100 points.

And I had my worst scoring player in as captain.

I did good last year, at least for a while. This year, I just ain't keeping up with no Englishter football. I've given up watching Mostest as well. Sigh. Maybe I'll be starved for soccerball later and y'all will all be tired of the FF, and America (represented by me) will triumph.

Yeah, right.

I'm still good at making bad transfers (either transferring bad players in or transferring people who then score 10 points or both) and picking the wrong team from my squad. Oh, and picking the wrong captain as well.
