I have been asked to host our local village quiz at the end of the month.

Now, I have become depressed by the fact that modern mobile internet technology has made cheating at these things just too easy.

It may not be possible to eliminate cheating completely, but I'd like to make it bloody difficult.

So, I'm asking for your help coming up with internet proof quiz questions. Not many of the old cronies in my village are EC fans, so it's probably safe for you to post them here! I can change the words about to make them google proof.

Let's see how imaginative you can be!

Why not get the contestants to put their mobiles in a big bucket? If not, surely it's easy to get them to not use them - have someone to police them and kick out anyone seen looking at a mobile.

People go to extraordinary limits to win these things. You can't ban people from having access to their phones for obvious reasons..."my babysitter may need to get hold of me" or "my testes felt loose this morning and may drop off at any second" etc.

Even if you banned them. People nip to the bathroom to consult each other and the internet. Bastards the lot of them. I refuse to make life easy for them.

That question on who is the best football team ever? The answer will always be Man Utd here because nobody in our village ever goes to football matches and relies wholeheartedly on Sky...thus making them your typical Maure fans....

Three people to police during the quiz. Anyone found using a mobile for anything other than emergency purposes is evicted (if they're desperate to win, surely they don't want that). No-one is allowed to leave during the quiz apart from in an interval. A bit more fascism will sort it out.

A few questions on very current events might be good. The football one is a non-starter. Good on them. How about 'Who will win the 2009-10 Premiership?' or 'Which team will put Real Madrid out of the Champions League in 2010?'. Both EASY.

A: An ice stake.

Just keep it in your freezer until you need it. Transport by esky. I saw a documentary about this. A well made ice stake can cut through flesh, with enough force you can drive it straight into someone's heart. It can break the bones in your ribcage no problem. You can easily destroy it, just throw it down on concrete or something, or dump it somewhere where it will quickly melt and not be found.
