London Meet Up - Saturday 1st August

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

London Meet Up - Saturday 1st August

Post by verbal gymnastics »

Yes it's time for another meet up.

Saturday 1st August has been arranged and the cast list so far is

VG
SoLack and
Neil.

Also on the highly likely list are BWAP, sulky lad and at least one of the Fabulous Foyles (copyright MDM).

Anyone and everyone is welcome. This is the one to be at!!!

Time and venue to be arranged. But I think a pub crawl sounds like a good idea...

BWAP has now confirmed his attendance.

That should bring in the punters (although I suspect they are waiting for Mr Foyle's confirmation).

I had a week of commuting this week and noticed loads of different pubs around off Charing Cross Road which I think should be visited!

Normally VG only makes it from Wetherspoons to McDonalds !!!
And I will be bringing the new sylph-like version of Sulky lad with me !! (you can't spot the difference to be honest !)

But then it wouldn't be a London Meet Up Red (the clue's in the title!).

For the next meet up you come to Red I'll buy your drinks

Bump!

We're still definitely meeting up.

And an early afternoon start so you have time to come along, get drunk and still get home in time for Sunday

I'm going to this . But ,be warned, I'm in full on fund raising mode for my Africa trip -

so I'll be expecting a few quid from people.

Seriously, it'll be great to see everyone again.

Moody - as much as I love you, unfortunately the time in the world has come when I must agree with So Lack. What are you talking about sweetie? Have you been sniffing the toilet cleaner again? I've told you about that before

In case you are wondering how to recognise me, look for the debonair, tall and dark man with the film star looks and he'll point you towards me (the big nosed ugly slouch propping up the bar).

I look forward to seeing you all!

Thanks to all for a great afternoon/evening. Verbal, Paul, Dave, Paul and myself looked out at the rain from the Tom Cribb, talked a lot, drank a lot , moved on to a Pizza place, ate , talked, moved on to the Garrick ( pub , near the theatre), talked , drank and, er, thats about it. All wrapped up by 10PM , with various people running for trains etc. No huge revelations , a lot of war stories told , a huge amount of non-Elvis stuff and so on. Seven hours talking - I was hoarse by the time I got back to my friend's place!

John must have really drank too much as there was actually Paul, Dave, David and Verbal there - but a wonderful time was had by all (or at least by me) even if I missed Verbal's sublime Almost Glue joke. Afternoon like yesterday almost make up for my boss refusing my application for annual leave to fly to Texas for the last 3 Sugarcane shows !
