Enjoyed Specials last week. Shame Jerry's missing out on the fun. Terry Hall is overdoing the hangdog lugubrious bit something rotten. The old Too Much Too Young clip reminded us he used to move a tiny bit, not any more. Looking forward to seeing Doves on it on full Friday edition.

Doves on Later this week were awesome!! Kingdom of Rust is THE best song of this year so far...great stuff, heard about 5 tracks so far from the album and all good. Otis, comments noted re Terry Hall last week but really think the guy suffers with performing, just glad to see them back together again.
Been a good year so far with great new albums from Morrissey, Springsteen, Ben Kweller pluis Magazine reforming!
Gotta go, just listening to my Mott the Hoople records.......

The Doves LP is excellent. Do get it. Agree Moz is fantastic, one of his best, all in all.
Missed Mark E S and the boys in Cambridge, but apparently he came on an hour and a half late in a wheelchair!!! Fell down the stairs one night? He performed one song from the dressing room!!!!

Thought Doves were a bit boring personally, but they fitted in with most of Friday's show which was very disappointing compared to last week. Marianne Faithful was even worse than I had feared. She was reminiscent of what I imagine the winner at the railway club annual drag competition would look and sound like.

It's the jacket - and the details - that make that outfit.
i remember seeing MF on SNL way back in the day doing Broken English. It was fab.
