London Meet Up - Saturday 25th October
Time to dust off those excuses...
A London meet up has been arranged for Saturday 25th October, time and venue to be decided.
So far the usual suspects, SoLack, BWAP and myself will be holding court for a guaranteed* afternoon/evening of fine wines, devastating repartee and devil may care shenanigans. It would be lovely if you, dear reader, could join us.
Please register your interest and further details will follow.
Yours ever

Not allowed! No more London meet ups until Blue and I make it back!
Okay, okay... let's just say we'll be there in spirit.

We're meeting at The Garrick Arms, Charing Cross Road at 3.30pm on Saturday.
SoLack has rightly pointed out that with the level of interest shown so far here, the Garrick Arms may not be big enough to accommodate everybody. Fear not however, for if necessary, I should be able to get the o2 Arena at late notice.
Sulky Lad is coming too and he always has a giveaway or 10...
PM me if you are interested and I'll give you my phone number.
As ever ladies, please form an orderly queue
Red - I'd wait an eternity for you, you know that. Which is probably just as well

Or just check on the walls of most local pubs and you'll find it there as well.verbal gymnastics wrote:PM me if you are interested and I'll give you my phone number.

I turn my back for a while to go out of town and you forget all about me. . . . .verbal gymnastics wrote:Red - I'd wait an eternity for you, you know that. Which is probably just as well
Now if I could just get Doc to get a work gig in London instead of Munich. . .

For any other Board ladies out there, let me make it quite clear:
You [insert name here] are my favourite and you always will be. The other Board ladies mean nothing. You are the only one for me.
(wit of this calibre will be in abundance on Saturday. Please do not let that put you off if it's not too late).

Verbal, you always crack me up. But I'm stuck in Philly as well.
Oh, and your location makes me laugh. Arcadia is my boyfriend's college. If you were near that Arcadia we could have a Philly meet up, couldn't we?

It seems there could also be room for a Philadelphia meet up.mood swung wrote:I don't know why you guys keep having these things in London. Isolationists!!!
The Philly Fillies perhaps.
If you are able to make it and I don't reply to your PM, then just look for the ugliest man in the room and that will be me. Either that or look for the three people who are trying to get away from another of the ugliest men in the room.
I'll be wearing an Elvis hat, t shirt, socks and hoodie. My Elvis underwear will not be on show until 8pm.

I am up for a Phila event ,if you London (and general UK) folks want to come over. Look at it this way Elvis lives just up the street from Phila in NYC.

He was very easily disarmed. Sulky Lad, Verbal G and So Lack all there - hair of the dog for me and So Lacklustre though - always good to see Sulky and Verbal, had several pints and dinner; busy autumn night in Leicester Square.oily slick wrote:i was thinking the same thing. so lack probably offed em all.

A nice Saturday spend drinking beer and going for a curry.
BWAP and myself stayed on a little bit later than the others and were able to appreciate the nice sights in Leicester Square
