By the way, congrats to you Sam.
Great job with the likes of Petrov and Fabregas (at exactly the right time).

Funny, I was contemplating dumping Petrov the week prior to the Fulham match. Glad I didn't.

Shame we don't get to pick a manager. The dashing Mr. Grant would be top of my list.

...and a goal for Lescott today. Hopefully he can keep a clean sheet, and it looks like I'll be getting points from Martins as well, since Essien and Finnan did not play this weekend. It has to be frustrating for people with a lot of Liverpool players in their team. Which player will Rafa rotate out this week?

Don't worry, I'm pretty sure he won't "survive" October.
Has Gus Hiddink been hired for Russians until Euro 2008 ?
If they lose this month's qualifiers, he might be Roman's next choice.

I think it will eventually be Hiddink, but I'd prefer Capello - now. By the end of October we'll be out of Europe with this clown in charge.

Wish I'd stuck to my instincts and made Ronaldo captain. It was the second leg of the cup competition in the work league and I'm out! At least Shorey got 3 points for that late goal, but the arse missed a penalty too! Incredible game - hilarious seeing the extensive goal coverage this evening on MOTD2, and yes, Elano's free kick ewas everything they said it was.

Oh, bollocks.
I can't believe I've been bottom 2 weeks running.
Funny how everything goes wrong sometimes and you try and put it right and it gets worse!
Arteta goes and gets 2 assists, Barry comes in and Villa score 4, but even though 2 come from his crosses, no assists accrue.
Meanwhile Berbatov goes and predictably scores and Adebayor comes in, doesn't score, and gets injured.
My Chelsea players will have to go, though I'm sure that would be a sign that they're going to have a good run (OK, I'm being far-fetched now).

Bloody Arsenal fans. And players. Two weeks running I should have made King Cristiano captain instead of Fab Fabregas.

And I did the opposite and scraped myself off the bottom.

Good week for my team, but I should have stuck with Drogs when I had the chance. Tevez was a good addition, and unlike a few others I sat my Man City players this week, because I had a feeling Chelsea were going to tonk them 6-0.

Another average week for me, but at least I got the Tev. Was going to get Wayne, but way too dear. the funny thing is my Man Citty fanatic colleague has been top of our league all season, and had a blinfng weekend due to making Lampard captain! I was so pissed off the bastard wasn't at work today, but at least I can have some fun with him down the boozer tomorrow evening.

Even better one for me. God bless you "automatic substitution" for putting in Parmarot who was my third substitute. I need to thank Everton for having an injury to Leighton Baines and not playing James McFadden!

Only cos you had the foresight to judge that the godlike genius of Cristiano would shine once again. Like me. But you still got more points. I need Shorey to score/assist tomorrow. Everyone has Fabregas.

And so he does. Some people have all the luck.

Me, I was thinking of making either Ronaldo or Lampard as my captain for the gameweek, and - typically for this season - I made the wrong choice. :x

Result! Laughed when I saw that. And Adaybayor scored, who not everyone has, whilst Cesc, who everyone has, got booked. Nice one. why won't they update the bloody scores? I want to go to bed and it's been updating for ages!

Tell me about it! That's been the story of my season!

I played my wild card after 3 weeks or so but have been massively progressing since. If I'd picked better captains then I coulda been a contender

With Adebayor as my captain, I was a poor linesman's decision away from beating both of you this week.
They should have that nice Mr McCann every week. :D
Still I guess I shouldn't complain having gone from bottom to seventh in a month. Not sure I've had 5 clean sheets from one set of games in a week before.

I'm debating whether it might be time for me to use my wild card. I've been fading a bit the past few weeks.

I'd wait till Thursday to see what the fallout is after the internationals.
The Big Club needs Cech back quick, don't like wasting transfers on keepers only to bring him back in when he is fit.
Need to get cuter with my captain selections.
