the hold steady
I have to say, I'm baffled by the apparent lack of Hold Steady fans around here; I just got Separation Sunday and really love it. It seems like it'd be up the alleys of several people here. Sort of Springsteen-y in the allusional storytelling (plus a rather blatant lyrical shoutout), each song is a vignette loosely connected to the others on the album. So, go check them out! Now!

I will log on to back mba up on this. It's pretty great. "Cattle and the Creeping Things" cracks me up, and I've listened to it a bazillion times. Also "Hornets, Hornets."
If anything keeps me from loving it outright it's not being able to relate very well to the story(ies) and characters. But the music is fun enough that it doesn't matter much.
Hi everyone.

Hi everyone.
I'll put it to you plain and bluntly

and he'd like to lift us up, but we're a very heavy load
