This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

This would take me at least 12 hours to do with any accuracy. I'm not going there. Interesting to read though.

1. What was the last concert you attended?

Tom Waits at the Ryman

2. How many people were there?

However many folks the Ryman holds.

3. What bands have you seen in concert the most, and how many times?

Elvis Costello, 9 times in 4 states!

4. Do you have any physical setlists? from what bands?

I have EC's hand-written setlist from the second night at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley, CA from the MLAR tour.

5. Are there any cd’s in close proximity to you? which ones?

An EC bootleg from Tokyo, 1987; Flop; The Replacement's Let it Be.

6. What band are you in the mood to see live right this second?

Bob Dylan.

7. Have you ever been on a tour bus?

No.

8. Have you ever partied with a band?

Yes, with lots of Seattle bands from back in the day- Mudhoney, Young Fresh Fellows, Flop, Screaming Trees, etc. From more recent times, The Makers, plus countless lesser-well-known bands that I have opened for or played with.

9. How many states/provinces have you been to concerts in?

At least nine, probably a couple more.

10. What bands did you see live the month of August?

Only Tom Waits.

11. What CD are you addicted to at the moment?

The Electric Six, Senor Smoke.

12. Who is one band/artist that you used to like, but now you can’t stand?

Liz Phair

13. Have you ever been on anyone’s guest list? whose?

The Makers, but they are friends, so it hardly counts. Lots of local bands' as well.

14. Last band person that you got a picture with?

Jamie Jack Frost, the Makers. Elvis Costello (but some guy's head is obscuring most of EC except for his hat!) I also took a pic of shatterproof with Davey and Pete at the HoB in New Orleans.

15. Do you consider yourself a groupie?

Nope.

16. How old were you when you went to your first concert?

14

17. Who was it?

Rush, Moving Pictures tour.

Definitely EC.

21. Do you ever do anything crazy at shows?

Only if I'm the one playing on stage.

22. What are your favourite venues to go to shows at?

For sound and proximity to the artist, the House of Blues. But there are way too many chatty assholes to enjoy certain shows there. Only Elvis and Johnny Cash have ever successfully silenced the crowd there when it was needed. Other artists have melted down (see: Ryan Adams, Lou Barlow). Otherwise the New Orleans Fairgrounds for JazzFest!!

23. What band do you have the most performance pictures of?

Elvis, although most of them are from the meet and greets after shows.

24. Would you ever get a tattoo representing a band?

Not unless I was in the band.

26. Upcoming shows?

Tom Petty (maybe); Electric 6; Camper van Beethoven

27. List every band you’ve EVER seen live, no matter how obscure

I won't even really go into the obscure because it is literally in the hundreds, but here goes: Elvis Costello and: the Attractions; the Rude 5; Steve Nieve; the Imposters; Johnny Cash; Camper van Beethoven; Rush; Judas Priest; Sammy Hagar; Night Ranger (hey, I'm not proud of all of these!); Metallica; Merle Haggard; Electrix 6; Mudhoney; Coffin Break; John Wesley Harding; Bob Dylan; Nick Cave; Brian Wilson; Johnathan Richman; Supergrass; Radiohead; Lyle Lovett; Steve Miller; Santana; Cheap Trick; Tom Waits; Ryan Adams; Cracker; Sam Phillips; Tift Merritt; Neko Case; Aerosmith; AC/DC; REO Speedwagon; the Divinyls; Queensryche; Dio; Yngwie Malmsteen; Wilco; Graham Parker; Rebirth Brass Band; Kermit Ruffins; Dirty Dozen Brass Band; the Neville Brothers; Neil Finn; Aimee Mann; Frank Black; the Pixies; U2; Iron Maiden; Saxon; Young Fresh Fellow; R.E.M.; the Replacements; Shane MacGowan; Paul Westerberg; Neil Diamond; Jazz Passengers (with Debbie Harry and Freedy Johnston); Wynton Marsalis; Sting; the Makers; Jackson Browne; David Bowie; Allen Toussaint; Fats Domino; Liz Phair; Mose Allison; Nicholas Payton; Bonnie Raitt; Walter Wolfman Washington; Anders Osborne; Flop; They Might be Giants; Weezer; Spearhead; Public Enemy; Digital Underground; Foo Fighters; Sonic Youth; the Ramones; the Decembertists; Mighty Mighty Bosstones; NRBQ; Superchunk; Bobby 'Blue' Bland; Crash Test Dummies; Rufus Thomas; Mickey Gilley; Willie Nelson; Dave Wakeling; Sebadoh; Nirvana; Irma Thomas; Ani DiFranco; Ernie K.
