Snakes On A Plane

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

Snakes On A Plane

Post by BlueChair »

The cult movie that was a cult movie before it even came out hits theatres tonight. Anybody planning to catch this one on the big screen?
This morning you've got time for a hot, home-cooked breakfast! Delicious and piping hot in only 3 microwave minutes.

I just got a voicemail from Samuel Jackson. Think I might pass on this one.

They've already hit the market with direct to video knockoffs. I saw a Snakes On A Train at my local Movie Gallery. Sometimes it really is worth it to get out of bed in the morning.

The trailer was enough. Nacho Libre, on the other hand...

I will see this on Saturday at a matinee, at a theater that serves beer, which is how God intended it. I'm expecting an over-the-top B-movie and will only be disappointed if it tries to be anything else.

My favorite merch so far:

Maybe the sequel will be 'Snakes On a Bus'.

I'd be much more enthusiastic about it if it was...

One can only hope. Though Tarantulas on a Bus would be better.

It's a shame the airline BOAC no longer exists as this would have fitted well.

OK, I'm going tonight. They opened a new 10 screen theatre in short walking distance from my home, and we decided there is no better way to 'christen' it than to drink about 8 beers and see Snakes on a Plane. See my review tomorrow.....

Low expectations = high rating from me. I haven't laughed this much at a movie since I saw Wedding Crashers. This was truly enjoyable, with the audience saying Samuel L. Jackson's 'key' line word for word with him and bursting into laughter. The entire audience laughed at every piece of cheesy dialogue and whenever a snake latched onto a piece of someone's privates. All in all, if you go into it with the right spirit, you will be mindlessly entertained.

I had more fun at this during a Saturday matinee with two buddies from work than I've had at any movie in a long time. It was ridiculous and sublime. It could not have been better (from the standpoint that a movie called Snakes on a Plane by definition is going to suck). It was a glorious mess, and I ate up every minute. It was great, too, that the rest of the audience came to play. This could easily become this generation's Rocky Horror (especially by the third time a character guzzles a can of Red Bull).

I saw this the Thursday before it came out. The theater near me showed it at like, 11 at night. So all my friends went, with fake snakes and snake puppets.

It was so key.
It nearly took a mircacle to get you to stay
It only took my little finger to blow you away.
