I'll be here, at least for the setup. After that, I'll be zombiefied tired and maybe I'll lay on the couch and watch Dick Clark's jowls.

I'm just say this so everyone will have a sucky NYE to compare theirs to! Whatever you do, it's got to be better than what I will do.

Stay safe, peoples, and make those resolutions. Guilt will be big in 2006.

Happy new year!

(I can't remember the last time I've looked at the immediate future with this much joy, hope and anticipation.)

Happy New Year to you all. May you all find the good things that you didn't find last year, and find even more of the good things that you've already found.

I love you guys here!

Dick Clark was near comatose. Might have been time to consider retirement, with the stroke and all. We switched over to another channel for the ball drop. It was just too painful listening to him croak his way through New Year's Eve.

I was in Times Square on Friday and saw the ball all loaded up and ready to drop-- jeeze that thing is small! It looks like a very large watermelon, but I suppose the huge scale of everything else in Times Square may have made it look smaller than it really was?

How drunk did you need to be to do that? And what in the world do you do if you need to take a whizz?

'Zactly. I wish I could lay claim to some crazy times in crazy Times Square, but in fact I was stone cold sober, on a downtown MTA bus, with my 76-yr-old Ma and 7-yr-old son, heading down to what used to be the Felt Forum to see Cathy Rigby in Peter Pan...
