Wake up you footy fans!!!

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

I loved the Ferguson interview - of course United never waste time when they're winning - he obviously wants the "next goal wins it " rule introduced for home sides only that play at Old Trafford !

Letting Tevez go must be one of the biggest mistakes Fergie has ever made.

MLS schedules out today and I know you're all excited, especially SLL. :D

In any case I am over the moon about this season because we have a new Temple of Football to play in, as my buddy Miguel calls it. That would be my seats, straight across the other side:

Opening game is against Santos (Pele's team), and that should be fun. Then we have Chicago to open the season and I am going out to Seattle again for our first away game (with my son). Can't wait!

Looks like 'English' Premiership is all over now, and Mut will win it from Arse as Chels can play pretty footie but can't be arsed to get points where they should.

Sweet FA back tomorrow - up the holders.

Good luck to all, and nice footie preferably (or winning stuff anyway...).

great time at the Fulham v Birmingham City match with So Lacklustre on Sunday - 90th minute freekick from Bobby Zamora to win it - leading to the "Booby Zamora for England" chant - strange seats - front row; almost below the pitch - best jeer - "Ridgewell you ugly weirdo!" - which I think even got a bit of a smile from Ridgewell.

What, no comments on Rooney injury, or Fabregas injury, or Chelsea beating Manchester (admittedly with Drogba goal from clear offside) ?!?

All too busy chewing finger nails !!
Old Trafford game one where I wanted both sides to lose but don't United look ordinary without Fat Boy Roon ?? Nonetheless I don't think England stand an earthly in S.A. without him. Reminds me of Bergkamp who always got injured in Feb in a world cup year !! Like unemployed actors -just resting between engagements !

I think so. It wouldn't have been fun to rub it in Otis' face, because he's not here anymore.

Does anyone know what happened to Otis. I sent him a text recently and got no reply. His last post here was on 21/12/09. Strange for someone who played here so frequently. :?

Quite strange indeed.
Maybe it's only the board, because he seems to be making regular changes to his FF team.

Otis, give us a shout that everything's ok.

I can confirm that I have indeed been in contact with Mr Westinghouse and that he is alive and well...though licking his wounds somewhat...

I have a suspicion that we Spurs fans maybe doing the same on Monday. Man City and Liverpool with very winnable games and I have a little hunch that we may get turned over by Portsmouth tomorrow. Everyone is talking about the final (inc many Spurs fans) and will we be playing Villa or Chelsea. We could well come unstuck, especially with the injuries we have. Hope i'm wrong.

If you can't be confident about beating a sadly depleted Portsmouth, who I hear are fielding three 9 year olds, then you have no hope.

Good to know Otis is alive. Chelsea on to the FA Cup Final. I know you're all excited about that!

In other news, my New York Red Bulls are off to a 2-0 start and can make it three wins and no losses today in LA. I've been working on a new blog with a couple of friends and we are having a blast!

4-point gap now to second place with four games remaining. I find myself in the unlikely position of rooting for Spurs tomorrow in the North London derby. Not that I have a ton of faith in them after that FA Cup loss to Pompey.

Well, we should have beaten Pompey who defended resolutely and broke excellently. That is not Arsenal's style , so it will be a different game. However, the confidence has been well and truly battered in the past 2 weeks. Maybe Arse, Chelsk and Man U are exactly what we do need. No expectations etc.

Personally, I fancy us more against Chelsk than I do Arse.

Given your comedic outclassed performance in Barcelona, this is hardly a surprise mate :?
