Wake up you footy fans!!!

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

The good news is that Robin Van Rapist looks sharp enough to put 2-3 past Citeh for us.

Now that is what I would call irony...Arse helping us into the Champs League. 8)

Congratulations to all who deserve it. E.g. Chelsea winning Youth Cup last week. Good luck to Pompey in their future, and I don't mind if they stop my Blues winning FA Cup on Saturday. Share and share alike. Commiserations to all who feel they haven't won, but who in fact exist, therefore have. Painting the town blue.

Congratulations to Pompey (+all the best for future) for IMO participating adequately in what I thought was a tense interesting final with lots of goal-attempts. All around outside I heard everyone in houses via TV watching cheering them/being quiet when Chels at last got one in-off.

Pomp could have won about 3-0 or lost 6-1. Wembley pitch again a bit of a joke cutting up clods at times. I am pleased after 44 years of following Chelsea too much that they at last got a 'double'. All the best to all in play-offs etc/WC in June onward. I watched Inter win their double yesterday on ESPN and they were often not very good (unlike their effectiveness against Bar-Chels)/hopefully they will with Bayern give us a lovely 'Champ.' L. Final next Saturday on ITV.

I confess to watching for just under a couple of hours via free Sky Sports News TV yesterday the Chelsea bus/Kerry Dixon's fine co-commentary ...

These doubles are old hat to the proper big teams like Mut and Liver and Arse.

Thankyou too Uncle Avram for 4 X 2nd places in 2008 ...

Yep, a piece of genius. Bearded Wayne in the trailer and then suited Wayne whupping Federer is pure genius. No wonder, directed by the guy that made Amores Perros. Budget insanity, but hugely entertaining with it, at least.

Though not an English football fan still really enjoyed this- thank you for posting Alexv- love the notion of failure reducing you to becoming the groundskeeper for a seedy club in the hinterland and living in a trailer eating out of a can-my daughter is ecstatic with the reference to Gael Garcia Bernal on the theater sign. Thank you again for sharing this. That is one inventive 3 minutes.

Yeah I really liked that Nike ad. Adidas did an ad spoofing on Star Wars that featured Beckham but it was strangely flat. I figured Star Wars + Soccer would = Awesomeness. Not so.

In any case, please join our World Cup fantasy thing that so lack has set up in the other thread. Six players now - would be nice to have ten by kickoff on Friday.

:D to WSS.

feels like a win to me. :D

I exercised my entire scatalogical vocabulary today. a thunderstorm knocked my sat out for a very tense 10 minutes in the second half. seriously it froze on an Englishter free kick and they were all lined up one two three and I knew NOTHING for a very long time. Good result for us. Tks. :)

I, too, enjoyed them. Just a bad attempt at punning to 1 to 1[or . to .] on my part. But I am not jumping up and down as I do have empathy for Mr. Green.
