Random Thoughts

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

If Lou Dobbs isn't insane than surely the rest of the world is.

Both Richard Thompson and Rickie Lee Jones have songs titled 'Gethsemane'.

We have a new girl at work. She is a dead ringer for a Parenthood-era Dianne Weist.

I've let her know. She called to see if I was still on the market but I had to tell her that someone had beaten her to it. I couldn't wait forever.

So expect a call sometime next decade oily

Having had the washing machine spring a leak and the fridge freezer pack up, it's been an expensive end to 2009.

Hope your luck is better than mine.

Our water heater went on the fritz. These things always seem to happen at the end of the year.

to no-one in particular -

BO-RING...!

If this site is to become somewhere worth spending some of my precious leisure time I don't expect it to happen anytime soon. Not that I am one just expecting to be entertained but the whole endeavour seems to have expired for me. Perhaps it lasted to long, I don't know. All I know is it just doesn't inspire me anymore to engage with it and exchange of what I may offer as it doesn't really let me do that much now - no exchange of energy, know what I mean? A very obviously confined avenue of expression which while that suits others suits me not. In fact I think it has killed my ability to enjoy Elvis' music to quite a degree. I want to forget him for at least ten years, then I'll be able to enjoy some of his old stuff again before I die. Will it seem fresh, perhaps not, but life is like that. Oh well, at least I'll look forward to his new releases when they come, but I doubt I'll be inclined inclined to come by here anymore. Don't need to keep up with his career let alone with the trivial minutiae of his life blaring from the General EC "Discussion" page, or with the stoopid banter in the annex...

So, see ya suckers, ain't got more to say here for an indefinite period of time...

So long, bbn. It was fun for a while.

You are right in that this forum isn't what it used to be. We can't turn back the clock, though. Magic never happens the same way twice.
