So there are Scottish fans of American Football. Who'd have thunk it.

Go Noone in Particular! (Well, maybe the UCLA Bruins, but they haven't exactly been "going", or so I'm told.)

NFC: Have to pull for Rams. Don't love them, just personal reasons.
AFC: Steelers, Jets, OR Colts would be fine. No Patriots, only because they have won a couple.

With the Seahawks out, I lack a personal tie to any team now. But I've adopted the Colts, mainly from awe at Manning's amazing ascendance. I feel like I'm watching Fouts-era Chargers, or just about any of the QBs of my youth -- Bradshaw, Staubach, Montana, Marino, Tarkenton. Not so much in regard to his style of play, but in the way he seems to have such total command of the action. Their offense is so versatile and loaded and he runs it flawlessly.

The Steelers are my backup, because they've been so steadily good under Cowhers for so long, and he deserves to win a Super Bowl one of these years.

The Pats will beat the Colts, again. This time without Ty Law, so Indy wont have any excuses.

I won't let my love for you bother me, WHAR--but I think the Colts have a chance this weekend. Sure, they don't have a 100% defense, and they're not always the best road team, but I have faith.

Besides, we've got a two-time MVP. That has to count for something, right?

Go Mexico City Mavericks!
This morning you've got time for a hot, home-cooked breakfast! Delicious and piping hot in only 3 microwave minutes.

That must be the new CFL franchise.

Do they still have two CFL teams called the Roughriders? Always thought that was funny.

Yes, the CFL is pretty funny.. but there's only one Roughriders these days

I once went to a Toronto Argonauts game and it was the dullest experience of my life :D

there are only 9 teams and they all have horrible names:

BC Lions
Calgary Stampeders
Edmonton Eskimos
Saskatchewan Roughriders
Winnipeg Bluebombers
Hamilton Tigercats
Toronto Argonauts
Ottawa Renegades
Montreal Alouettes

The Colts left my home town of Baltimore in the middle of the night--snuck away. I hate them for all time.

Go anyone else.

I'd be willing to bet that no current Colts participated in the sneaking. Besides, Baltimore got a Super Bowl championship out of the whole deal a couple years ago.

Ask the good folks of Cleveland about Art Modell ("The pride and presence of a professional football team is far more important than 30 libraries.") and the Baltimore franchise.

I saw the Colts play against Denver last week, and have never seen an offense that was so powerful and dominant, except maybe the 49'ers in their prime. Their much maligned D stuck the hell out of the Broncos and punished them consistently. While the Pats have a great D, their D backs are injured and I don't imagine that they can stop the 3 receiver set that the Colts run, especially when they also have two athletic tight ends/H backs who can run and catch, not to mention James, who is one of the best runners in the league.

YA the Colts have a lousy D, but they have been improving and they have a good pass rush.

Everybody tries to blitz Peyton, but last week the Broncos gave up blitzing after about two drives, as they didn't get any pressure at all because of Manning's ability to throw the ball to a spot before his reciever even makes the cut.

GO RAIDERS by the way........ what a bunch of chumps.

Cope, it's the same offense they had in week 1 when New England stopped them, and the same offense they had in the playoffs last year.

They won't have Ty Law this weekend, but I don't think that really makes a difference, because they are stacked in the secondary (and The Wilson Effect along with Rodney Harrison don't even need cornerbacks).

Their offense isn't even as good as the Chief offense. The Colts 'one year fury' will be over next year, where as the Chief 'four year priest dominance' will continue for many years to come (as the great Larry Johnson takes his place when the time comes).

One topic that I don't mess around with is football, so if there is one thing I can sound knowledgeable about- it is that.
