Boomtown Rats albums being re-issued with extras

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

I've got the US versions of Tonic For The Troops and Fine Art of Surfacing (bought them in the long box before they were deleted in the early 90's). The English and American Tonic For The Troops have different tracks on them - but I'm surprised that Up All Night appears on V instead of Mongo Bongo - I guess that must have been the way they came out in the UK and Ireland - is V worth having? I gave up on these guys right after Mongo Bongo - but love Up All Night.[/i]

No. The first three Mr Shania Twain produced albums are classics, Mondo Bongo is great in parts, but doesn't add up. The last 2, the odd single or 2 aside, have aged dreadfully, for completists only.

Interesting to find out that The Rats have a track called Up All Night because to me hot new band Razorlight (their album's called Up All Night) sound just like the Rats, or at least the singer sounds like Geldof. My 2c.

My early teenage years were inspired by 'Me and Howard Hughes'. For some time I did in fact lock myself up in my room.
