Congratulations and happy birthday, my friend! I hope that you don't have any cheap relatives who try to pawn off one gift for both occassions.

Wishing you a very happy birthday Blue, and hope you did well in your exams!!

My poor daughter is at University and in the middle of her 2nd year of exams. This morning she set off for London to sit her second exam only to find her train has been cancelled and the next one is running an hour late!! She set off an hour early to make sure she would be there on time but as the train journey takes an hour there was no way she'd make it!! To the rescue my partner who has rushed off to get her there in the car. Fingers crossed there are no motorway delays. Just the kind of stress you need before sitting an exam huh?
COME ON YOU SPURS!!

Always nice to wake up to friendly messages from your friends.

Thank you, everybody. It's been a pleasure getting to know all of you on this wacky forum.
This morning you've got time for a hot, home-cooked breakfast! Delicious and piping hot in only 3 microwave minutes.

My God, think of how dangerous you'll be at 30!

I mean that as a compliment of course.

Blue,

I avoid the Birthday posts in general, but it seems that as you age you are getting better and better. You have a great future. An evolution into a real diplomat without kissing up and without acting like Paula Abdul and trying to make everyone 'feeeeel-gooooood'.

I admire your knowledge and your diplomacy.

You should have no problem as you make the move from academia to the real world of business. I wish you only the best.

Okay, the real reason? You remind my so very much of my 22 year old son, who is working on his PhD at Ohio State in BioStatistics and Physics. You write and respond to things in a very similar way.

Good Health, and many more.

Happy Birthday, whippersnapper! I am old enough to be your (very youthful) mother, so I can call you that. When I was 23, the Red Sox had made it to the world series.

Congrats, also, on your degree.

Only a year ago? You strapping, young lad.(this would make more sense in person, I'm trying to compliment you)

Happy birthday, Blue! I am still intrigued by your choice of message board handle. "Blue Chair" seems like a song that would fall into a long list of underrated Elvis songs, as if you picked it as random.

"Am I late? Did I miss it? (No, they'll be here any minute...)"

I swear that's from some silly movie...anyway..

Happy b-day Blue! Hope you tie one on and take another great drunk picture!!!! :D
A lot of Christians wear crosses around their necks. Do you think when Jesus comes back he ever wants to see a fuckin' cross? It's kind of like going up to Jackie Onassis with a rifle pendant on.

now we can reminisce...does anyone else remember a 21 yo bluechair getting on a particular website dead drunk one night and typing in all sorts of gobbltygook that he had to apologise for with a very large head the next day?

Thanks everyone... hopefully I won't react in a similar way after going out tomorrow night with my friends for a belated celebration.
