What are you listening to right now?

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

"Everytime We Say Goodbye" by John Coltrane, from the album My Favorite Things
This morning you've got time for a hot, home-cooked breakfast! Delicious and piping hot in only 3 microwave minutes.

Song playing now is "King of Ska" by Desmond Dekker - from the great double cd I picked up this weekend - "Rudy Got Soul" - Desmond Dekker 1963-1968 The Early Beverley's Sessions.

Just picked up my first CD copy of 'The Wild, the Innocent and E-St Shuffle'. Had it on vinyl years ago, but had forgotten what a truly great record it is.

Also enjoying a legal download of 'The Gunman and other Stories' by Prefab Sprout and 'What's Going On' by Marvin Gaye.

Bela Fleck & Edgar Meyer-Music for Two
I wish that I could push a button
And talk in the past and not the present tense
And watch this hurtin' feeling disappear
Like it was common sense
It was a fine idea at the time
Now it's a brilliant mistake

Wow, I thought the only people who had heard of this had had it bought for them by my sister. It's clever, but I don't know about intoxicating...

Rightnowatthisverysecond it's "Progress" by Mission of Burma.

On heavy rotation is Famous in Vegas - Peace on Earth (local band, punk and roll, they do an awesome cover of "I Wanna Be Your Dog" live, and the lead singer saw my Elvis patch and started up a conversation - way cool)

I still can't stop listening to The One AM Radio's "Cast/Away", though.

I'm actually listening to a very old compilation made for me by Miss selfmademug. Current song is RICK JAMES STYLE by the Lemonheads, next up is SWALLOW MY PRIDE by the Ramones. It's a good work CD.
And I was happy to be alive, in a magic world.
