Music Quiz Trivia

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

OK, you win, though it's 4 times. GH bonus as well as disc 1. There are a few that make it three times, but this is the only 4. Bizarre that it should resurface on GCW, it seems to me. Ain't got as far as checking the notes to see why.

My memory banks tell me there are FIVE Stranger In The Houses:
MAIT bonus (single)
TYM bonus (BBC)
AF bonus (Hollywood High)
AB bonus (George Jones AND Palomino)

By golly you're right! Sorry, should have done my research when more alert. As I checked through I missed the fact that it was on AF and also, even though I've just got it though have only played it once, didn't realise it was on AB twice. This is definitely the most commonly featured song.

Wardo's question.

I was hoping he'd put it on all the bonus discs for sh-ts and giggles, but I guess he ran out of room on Get Happy. Anyway...

What song has been recorded by both Paul McCartney and Elvis Costello, but not written by either of them?

Nope -- actually the song I'm thinking Paul recorded after the Beatles, but let's see what else people come up with. (And John sang Kitten.)

Snarling Pup has the answer I was seeking. Your move.

Oh, and Run Devil Run is one of my favorite McCartney albums.

OK, any easy one.

EC has covered three songs written by Little Willie John. (One has yet to be officially released.) Name all three of them.

I looked at my "Best of Little Wille John" disc and "Leave My Kitten Alone is the only one I recognize. It's also the only one that Little Willie wrote...this is not an easy one SP.

LWJ

The three I have in mind all appear on Rhino's LWJ collection. Not sure at all about the writing credits.

Leave My Kitten Alone
Fever (performed live with Inch by Inch)
The Very Thought of You

The 3rd one is a bit of a cheat - it wasn't written by Little Willie, only recorded by him

SW, you got the first two. But the third is a miss.

The third was only performed live in the early eighties. Another clue:

Sorry for the delay, this is a rushed question.

EC has performed live duets with
- Lou Reed
- Paul Weller
- Ron Sexsmith
- Ricky Skaggs
- George Jones
- Willie Nelson.
- Chet Baker
- Tony Bennett
- Chrissie Hynde

NONE of these songs have been EC originals.

Name (one of) the songs. I'll upload them when you get the answer...
