Marc-Vivien Foe, RIP

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

Happened to a Northampton town striker a few years ago. dreadful.

Foe's family were watching from the stands as well. God bless them.

He was an International footballer from Cameroon. He inexplicably collapsed tonight in the second half of a match against Columbia in France. There was not tackle or anything, he just fell down and died. he played for a couple of English clubs and had a reputation for being a really nice guy.

That is terribly sad.
About 6 weeks ago (actually 3 days before Mother's Day) my nephew died suddenly with out any warning at the very young age of 23.
He was an athlete all his life...star quarterback in high school, scholar-athlete and a recent graduate of Yale University where he was a Football All-American. The sweetest kid you'd ever meet, intelligent, handsome and very close to his family and siblings.
They really don't know what killed him, possibly a heart attack. Drugs and alchohol were not involved.
He lived an incredibly full life and is dearly missed.

Burying a child/young person has to be one of the hardest things a parent /loved ones could ever have to do.
God bless anyone who's endured such pain.
I'm not angry anymore....
