top 5 tracks by the white duke

This is for all non-EC or peripheral-EC topics. We all know how much we love talking about 'The Man' but sometimes we have other interests.

Ok, I'm not a huge Bowie fan but he did do some good stuff in the 70's:

- TVC15
- Heroes
- Ashes to Ashes
- Changes
- Always Crashing in the Same Car

Let me at it! This is hopelessly impossible. Some interesting choices, e.g. two votes for Always Crashing. And Girl Out Of Mar Del Plata is clearly a big early Bowie fan, which is cool. And SLL loves Hunky Dory! I've never heard the original Conversation Piece, Storm. Is it good? I like the Heathen extra CD version. Word on a Wing is relatively obscure, but is one of my absolute faves too.

1. "Heroes"
2. Lady Stardust
3. Be My Wife
4. Letter To Hermione
5. 5.15 (The Angels Have Gone)

I can't tell you how easy (and yet impossible) it was to pick just 5. Can we top 50 next time?

Otis, I have lots of Bowie goodies I can send - including his Broooce and Dylan covers if you really insist, as well as all the Lulu songs, Arnold Corns, Ryko reissue tracks etc, etc. All you have to do is give me a postal address...

'I'm Afraid of Americans' with Trent is up there along with 'Ziggy'
