One of the distinct reading pleasures I have enjoyed for over four decades has been the work of Jim Harrison. I could always look forward to a new poetry collection, story or novel or essay every year. Now he is gone. A real son of Michigan and a great writer. His character Brown Dog never fails to make me laugh. He had just published a new collection of novellas a month ago and his wife of 55 years had passed on back in October of last year. Quite sad news for me. It appears he died at his writing desk a few days ago doing what he loved to do......
