Who is man enough to utter these words?

Post by lapinsjolis »

I'm a man traveling to Sweden and when I return
I'll be toting a baby and carrying it to term

The thought of feeling a baby growing inside of my belly
Makes me want to write an ode in the style of Percy Shelley

I'll be knitting booties in bluesy shades or pinkie
As doctors make it medically possible in Helsinki

Call me "Mother", "Father" I'll answer any way
I'll be the handsomest mommy each year in May

Off (in many ways) to make Tang punch.
"Be yourself; everyone else is already taken."

Ode to Mr. Misery

On this quiet Friday in the middle of the night

I praise the mind of one so marvelous and bright

His graciousness is glorious even if my wit falls short

In happiness or gloom he can't stop playing 'North'

What a mind that can grasp my humor and better, finer ones

Eyes that bask in Yeats or the 'The Magnificent Ambersons'

If I could gaze a second on such a sea of blue

I'd sigh and hum the strains of 'Can You Be True?'
"Be yourself; everyone else is already taken."

Mr. Misery-It's my honor. I hope you enjoyed it. You are so gracious I'm directing any future poetry directly to you!

Jackson Monk-No intrusion, Mr. Misery understands my poetry and. . . likes it anyway. He deserves far more than an Ode but he's dreadfully hard to shop for. I was fully clothed when I wrote the Ode so no need to blush.

ah, but where were your thoughts?

you needn't answer that, you are a lady. it is rude of me to even ask.

Ah Poppet the thoughts were frightfully noble, admiration and gratitude. We have the same sense of humor from brilliant to idiotic-a joy to find such a person, isn't it?

An Easter Warning

Rabbits are everywhere some are quite debonair with such a suave appeal
<img src="http://216.77.188.54/coDataImages/p/Gro ... 0bunny.jpg" width="135" height="224">
Others are so frightening you pray they aren't real

Beware of wishes that are half felt, it is a healthy fear
For you may be left quite human with only bunny ears

Hilarious! After the debonair and demented thankfully for the eyes there is the girl dressed as a rabbit. Great pictures and poem, LJ. Happy Easter to all! :D
