but austin

just look around

there are trees here

i feel alive here
breathing in the woods
the creeks
the rivers and lakes

the people
the music

the hipsters
the homeless
the punks
the crowds in the streets

the noise
it runs through my veins

it rains here
rain
imagine that

it's so green here
that it's almost obscene

when i leave this town
i miss it

i will live here
i will be a part of this city

this is my birth right
this is my blood

i can start all over

after years of feeling uprooted
i will replant myself
here
