Oliver's Army 10th Anniversary Show

Post by noiseradio »

Hard to believe, but my EC tribute band, Oliver's Army, is celebrating 10 years of gigs this Friday night. Ten years to the day of our first performance. We're playing 3 sets at Pearl in Dallas (Commerce St.), starting at 9:00. If you are in the Dallas area and can come, I hope you will.

I'd love to come see you guys again.
I'll talk to the spousal unit & see if we can stay out that late on a Friday.

Damn,sorry I missed it.
Long day at work, 9PM start time, 25 miles away, mean wife and old age all contributed to my absence.

Set list?

I can post a set list when I get home, for the correct order. But, we played most of the obvious choices and our favorite deep cuts. We had a guest pedal steel player, who joined us for Good Year for the Roses and Folsom Prison (we've been playing that since Johnny Cash died). We added Monkey to Man and American Gangster Time this time out. At the end of Less Than Zero, we worked in snippets of songs by Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees (an annual tradition). It was a blast.
